Catalunya has an enormous potential for rock climbing, world wide known for its sport climbing in the famous Siurana and Margalef. But climbing in Catalunya has a lot to offer for the multi-pitch enthusiasts.
Joining this climbing trip I will guide you to the most classic walls around Catalunya. You will discover some off the beaten track areas and it’s gorgeous settings and lovely little villages around.
Depending on the season you will have the opportunity to climb on different types of rock: conglomerate, limestone and granite. I will choose the routes that adapt to your climbing level and skills. There is a huge variety: bolted or trad routes, vertical, low angle, dihedrals, cracks… from 2 pitches to more than 10 pitches.
PROPOSED PROGRAM:
We really like adapting to your needs so don’t hesitate and ask for a tailor made trip.
We propose a 4 days trip starting with Montserrat and driving everyday after climbing to the next destination. There is also the possibility to spend one or more days single pitch climbing.
This is a program proposal:
Day 1: Pick up at Monistrol de Montserrat train station (1 hour from Barcelona). Climb in Montserrat Mountain. Drive to Alt Urgell area.
Day 2: Climb in one of the Alt Urgell walls: Paret Bucolica, Coll de Nargó, Perles, all good quality grey limestone. Drive to Terradets area.
Day 3: Climb in Terradets or Ager, both pretty long limestone walls. Drive to Vilanova de Meia.
Day 4: Climb in Roca dels Arcs, Roca Alta or Zaratrusta, all steep juggy limestone. Drive back to Barcelona.
ACCOMMODATION:
The accommodation is not included in the price because we want you to adapt it to your needs.
We offer the possibility to wild camp and we will supply all camping gear and cooking gear (you should bring your sleeping bag).
If you prefer we arrange accommodation for you in Hotels, Hostels or rooms.
TRANSPORT:
Pickup and drop off from/to Barcelona or a nearby train station will be provided, as well as the driving during the days of the trip.

My partner and I spent two days climbing with Marc in Catalonia and loved the experience!Marc is a great guide: very knowledgable and patient. He drove us to another area to avoid the rain and stayed climbing till late, so we got the full day of multi-pitch climbing.He also recommended a lot of local routes and climbing areas with different features, so we will definitely come back!
Marc was an amazing guide! He lead me up my first multi-pitch climb in Montserrat. He made me feel very comfortable and safe the entire time. After completing the climb, he also helped me complete my first couple lead climbs.

I highly recommend Marc as a climbing guide! My wife and I have booked a four day multi-pitch climbing and it was fantastic! Marc has chosen beautiful routes that fit our level, teached us how to build/clean stations, how to rappel and other climbing best practices. During climbing he was very positive and helpful, always double checked our gear, placed additional quickdraws in difficult route segments and he took a lot of great photos of our climbing. We had a bad weather forecast for all 4 days of our trip, but Marc managed to find warm and dry spots to climb in these conditions. I had a great day doing my first multi pitch with Marc in the Montserrat region. We went to a beautiful sunlit route featuring dihedral and cracks and to avoid the winter cold and during and after the climb he imparted a lot of multi pitch wisdom which i will take with me for future climbs. He was happy to discuss anchor systems and answers any doubts that I had right up until the sunset was more or less setting!
